Cormac used to work in a job which had little room for imagination, but his hobby was working with wood, copper and then silver developed into a business.
Cormac went to Art College but found the course was not for him, so he attended courses in Wales and Scotland. After getting married, Cormac started a small environmentally friendly jewellery school in the back garden! Building on his own experiences realising that everybody learns in different ways!
Cormac has run his boutique jewellery school for over 40 years, working in sterling silver, the new fine silver clay and lead free enamels. Each student has their own projects and dreams which they try to make come true.
Cormac’s classes suits those starting from scratch or those with more experienced up grading their skills! Class sizes are kept small to allow Cormac to spend time with each student individually.
Cormac exhibited in the National Craft Trade Fair in the RDS in Dublin for a few years and was lucky enough to win the IDA Trophy for a range of silver products.
